Barefoot Resort & Golf gives golfers a great opportunity to play four spectacular courses, all situated on one fabulous resort property: Barefoot Resort and Golf’s Norman course, Love course, Fazio course, and Dye course. Since its opening in 2000, The Norman Course has become a true golfer’s dream. The Norman Course was designed by none other than world-famous golf legend, Greg Norman. As a par 72 golf course, the Norman Course offers golfers five sets of tees at each hole. Consequently, the yardage can vary from a playable 4,953 yards to a whopping 7,035 yards.
Those who venture onto Barefoot Resort’s Norman course will find a variety of terrain and challenges, all in a fun, natural setting. While playing several of the holes, a meandering stream will force golfers to stay within the bounds of the fairways. Other times, fragrant pine trees, shady oak trees, and an abundance of native grasses will provide just enough challenge for golfers of any level of ability. Some of the greens are wide and open, and others are narrow and sloping. Sand can be found everywhere – in uniquely designed traps and in vast waste areas. For a few holes, a special treat and challenge faces golfers when they play alongside the Intercoastal Waterway.
Barefoot Resort and Golf – and, of course, the Norman course is located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Myrtle Beach has miles of sandy beaches, fun-filled ocean waves, and plenty of sunshine. It is famous for its mild climate – not too hot and not too cold. Fresh seafood restaurants and great shops and boutiques can be found in Myrtle Beach, as well. It is truly the perfect golfing destination for the entire family. Besides great golf, visitors can walk on the pier and the boardwalk, spend the day fishing, and check out any of the hip nightlife spots.
Venture onto the Barefoot Resort and Golf property and golfers will immediately feel at home. Not only are there four golf courses, but there is a 35,000 square foot clubhouse – complete with an enormous Southern-styled front porch. There is a restaurant that serves delicious food for lunch, dinner, and banquets. Golfers will also find a full pro shop, and a wonderful driving range. The driving range is even lit at night – perfect for hitting the post-dinner bucket of balls. Lastly, there is a Golf Academy on-site – ideal for improving any golfer’s game.
